I was looking for something like this to attach to the inside of my coat closet. Since it accommodates the long traditional umbrellas, you can space the two pieces apart to whatever length apart works for you.I rated “Sturdiness” only 3 stars because the combination hook-&-loop/adhesive wouldn’t hold. I keep two large umbrellas in it and it kept falling off the door. The door which is painted in enamel paint has a good surface for adhesives so it should have held. I dispensed with their adhesive and used 3M tape instead, now it’s holding. Just keep in mind that 3M tape sticks so well that you must get it right on the first try or you’ll have problems. Their tape works fine for the top half of the holder since it bears no weight.I rated “Easy to assemble” 4 stars because it takes some aligning with a straight-edge (I used a yard stick) and a spirit level.
