This is a powerful & reliable servo electromotor which we use for many years as the option for steering our K2, Kantun S & VISS IOM class radio-controlled sailboats which is why we recommend it generally for all IOM yachts. Specifications for IOM Digital Rudder Servo: Power HD (60kg | 8.4V | i-BUS2-ready) The IOM servo is a high-performance HV brushless servo built for demanding RC applications where torque, speed, and durability matter. Introduced as part of Power HD’s series, this line is the next step in Power HD’s premium servo development. With a 4-pole brushless motor, the this IOM servo delivers fast response, improved heat resistance, and long service life—ideal for high-load steering systems and precision control setups. Why it’s a great choice for RC sailboats (and beyond) For RC sailboats and powerboats, the servo shines as a rudder/steering servo thanks to its high torque, crisp centering, and robust drivetrain. The extra-long receiver lead (~29 cm) is especially practical in boat hulls where the receiver can be far from the servo. (Also perfect for 1/8 scale cars, large off-road builds, and any project needing serious torque.) Key features High Voltage (HV) operation: 6.0–8.4V (2S LiPo compatible with proper power system) Up to 60 kg·cm torque for strong authority under load 4-pole brushless motor for speed, efficiency, and longevity Metal geartrain (7075 steel) and dual ball bearings for durability and smoothness i-BUS2 support for advanced functions such as parameter setup and data features when used in that ecosystem Programmable with Power HD PG-CB63 program box (fine-tune servo parameters to your setup) Works with any standard 2.4GHz radio system (not limited to FlySky, Radiomaster, Futaba…) Technical specifications (Power HD GTS-6) Torque 6.0V: 48.0 kg·cm (≈ 666.7 oz-in) 7.4V: 56.0 kg·cm (≈ 777.8 oz-in) 8.4V: 60.0 kg·cm (≈ 833.3 oz-in) Speed 6.0V: 0.10 s 7.4V: 0.08 s 8.4V: 0.07 s Operating voltage: 6.0–8.4V DC Weight: 78 g Bearings: 2× ball bearing Motor: Brushless Gears: 7075 steel Working frequency: 1520µs / 1666Hz Operating temperature: -20°C to 60°C Max current: 7.5A Dimensions: 40.0 × 20.0 × 38.3 mm Receiver lead: extra long ~29 cm (Before we offered the Futaba HV S9177SV (or a comparable model when this one was temporarily out of stock)
