The weight of the Sailboat RC IOM Boat Stand is just 550g as it is made from very strong aluminium and other lightweight materials we use to have a minimalistic and sleek design that is both durable and very handy. Three positions of the boat on the stand can be used – upright, lying on the side and also the middle one. Our boat stands can be carried in the IOM RigBox – just secure them well and it can also be carried on the outside edge of the Rig Box so you get a free hand which is a very useful and liberating option on many IOM events / regattas where IOM sailors carry lots of things around at once. In that case, when ordered as a spare part without RigBox or Packaging for rigs, you will have to assemble it (with our provided clear YouTube 4-minute video instructions that you received when you completed the Checkout). Kindly note that your assembly will be needed only if it is ordered as a spare part without these two items as they allow extra space for safe shipping of our fully assembled IOM Yacht Cradle. However, assembly is a simple task of around 4 minutes and is finished easily with rivets (permanent mechanical fasteners) as shown in our YouTube tutorial (that way you save on shipping as we can send a semi-finished IOM Boat Stand in a small tube to you). If the IOM Boat Stand is ordered together with the Rig Box / Packaging for rigs in the Cart, then we can assemble it right away and ship it fully completed so no assembly will be needed at all in that case.
